Hello, My Name Is Aaliyah

As you can see, I am in this picture with my brother  Jeauvon. Sometimes he is nice and sometimes he is not. But that's not why I'm writing, at least not until he gets on my nerves some more. Which probably won't be long.

OK, I am here because I was selected out of hundreds of other kids my age to participate in an audition called "The Event" in Orlando, FL. this December. I am very excited and happy!

Now, the word looks like a regular "THE" but it's not. It's pronounced "TAA". So it sounds really, really fancy...

My dad tells me that it's a big audition with over 60 to 70 New York and Hollywood agents, managers, and casting directors that come together looking for new talent for upcoming projects, movies and commercials.

When they came to Peoria, I heard them on the radio and knew I just had to try to go. There were two things that I really liked:

Not only is this something that I wanted to do, but I might have a chance to meet Justin Bieber (Yaaaay!) He was at one of "The Events" last year and he may be there this year too!

Another thing is that if I do well enough, and get selected by the judges, I can also win prizes and gifts (including lots-a-money!)

Now, that's where I need your help. I need some assistance with fees and expenses. My dad said it's gonna cost about $5,000 for us to make it there and back and get all of the registration fees and everything taken care of. He's workin on it, but we need a little help.

Two things you can do:

If you have a credit card, you can use the paypal link and give toward the expenses. Everything you share will be appreciated and will help me get the necessary training, equipment and make all my registrations and airfare.

The next thing you can do is pray for me and my family. My Dad says prayer works. (He's a pastor, just in case you didn't know) So pray that I do good and don't get too nervous and pray that we have a safe trip.

Thank you for reading this blog and any help or advice that you can give is great!
I'll talk to you a few more times before the trip. By the way, these are some of other kids who were just like me, that went to The Event and now have careers.

Who know's, that could be me one day!
